I solicited 3 estimates from reputable liscensed electricians personally referred to me by other property owners. Your estimate was 3 - 5 times the cost of the other estimates! This was apparently partly because your technician required installing a new box that both of the other electricians say is NOT necessary. As an older woman it really feels as though you are trying to take advantage of me.

We appreciate the opportunity to assist you. You contacted us regarding a power outage and requested a quote for installing a line for a 240V stove. We discovered that a GFCI had tripped, which we reset, restoring power. As per your requests, you wanted to switch from a gas stove to an electric one, install a surge protector, and have the option to add another washer/dryer in the future. Your existing electrical panel is completely full and cannot accommodate additional circuits. If someone else has suggested they could add the stove circuit to your panel, they are not adhering to our national code and safety standards, and I urge you to have them obtain a permit for their work. Our quote is higher because we perform the work properly, allowing for the future expansion you wanted and protecting your home with the surge protector you requested.

It has been quite a while since I needed an electrician and like everything else the cost for reliable/quality work has gone up. I'm glad I had it done but the cost was more than I expected. - arrived onsite and the resident showed me the wall they wanted a tv outlet fished onto. Then they took us to the kitchen where up in the peak of the ceiling, there was an old inactive smoke detector she wanted blanked off, and there is already 3 on that main floor in the required locations so it was viable from an extension ladder. During our assessment we noticed there is no surge protection in either panels, and it failed back in 22 for not having bonding. So I brought that sticker to her attention along with my recommendations, and options for today. For now, we added the missing bonding, blanked off the old smoke in the ceiling with a white round blank plate, and then cut open the garage wall to add a new outlet for the tv on the other side of the garage. Everything’s verified working.
Replace broken three way dimmer located at the front door with a new LED+ Lutron Dimmer.
Reason for todays visit with the customer was troubleshooting a pool pump. Upon inspection the old motor has seized and failed. We did, however, noticed the condition of the wiring inside the switches, as well as the GFCI. We went ahead and replaced all of the switches, as well as the GFCI and rewired the time clock with a new whip down to the motor as well as to the heater.
Today’s visit was for replacing the existing service for the pool. We installed a new outdoor rated sub panel, replaced the posts in the ground, and installed two ground rods. Please let us know if there is anything else that we can do for you. Have a great trip!

Install four new LED 6 inch wafer recessed lights in pool area on the existing switch. Install new switch and light mounting box over the pool table for future pool table light.
-arrived onsite and the customer showed us up to the master bedroom where he had bought an exhaust fan and smart switch for us to install. I discussed what it would take to switch them separately because as of now he only has a 14-2 wire going to the fan. After making options and discussing them with him he wanted to go with his fan, his switch, but have us redo the wiring to a 14-3 line and then change the breaker to a Siemens arcfault breaker as well to meet current code for the work being done. Took a deposit and will return 4/23 at 2pm to do the work. Arrived onsite, stared by cutting above the switch to get the wire ready to be dropped in and then went up in the attic to run the 14-3. I ran the new 14-3 wire down to the switch, and to the exhaust fan hole, and then junctioned and blanked the old exhaust wire in the attic. I cut in the new exhaust fan that the customer supplied, and it took a while but i got that secured and in place, and then got the new 14-3 wire in the switch

Installation of new dedicated 60 amp circuit from the main panel out to the front garage wall next to the garage door. Replacement of 150 amp main breaker to 200 amp main breaker
Installation of four six inch recess lights in the main living area as well as four six inch recess lights in the office with dimmers. From the panel we will install two new dedicated circuits in the basement. Both will be 20 Amp Circuits. One will be 10 feet from the panel dedicated only for the treadmill. The other one will be a new circuit for the freezer up to 35 Feet from the panel in the area of the existing HVAC system and Water Heater but we will branch off to two new receptacles as well. One new one will be beside the stairwell, and create a new receptacle in the upstairs main living area adjacent to the main floor stairwell. The other will be in the basement for common usage next to the existing air hockey table in the basement opposite side of the new circuit for the freezer. In the upstairs bathrooms we will install two new Panasonic whisper fans. Finally, we will remove and replace two customer supplied lighting fixtures outdoors.

Reason for today’s visit was a potential call back due to a failed switch in the back porch area. Upon Investigation we discovered the switch was in working order however the splices in the back of the box were separating. Additionally, another single pole switch in the switch bank was beginning to fail due to being backstabbed. We recommended replacement of this switch as well as securing and correcting the connections in the rear of the box. The customer agreed to this and the work was completed. Upon our departure everything was working as intended.
